Dominance Guardian Services is an Australian owned and operated, fully licensed security business that has been in business for 15 years as it complies with all the relevant state and federal legislation relating to equal employment opportunities, anti-discrimination and security licensing and regulations.

By Dominance taking the tough course when there maybe easier alternatives, Dominance stands out within the industry as a straight edge security provider who has developed it's business through hard work, trust with clients and employees', high ethical standards and positive working environment that recognises the value that any person can bring to our team and will develop our teams opportunities that encourage participation from men, women, minorirites and disabled.

Trust is very important in our industry, but also very important at Dominance. We conduct a range of background checks on all potential employees to ensure the quality of their skills meets with our requirements, and that they have sufficient qualifications and experience to fulfil the roles.

The checks performed by Dominance include the following;

• Police background checks to ensure our security officers are of good charater;

• Reference checks from past employers to verify the experience and skills our security officers have; and

• Seek clarification of any industry qualificiations and membership security officers may have.

Essentially crowd controllers are to maintain a safe and controlled environment. Whilst the role of the Crowd Controller is generally well known, the manner in which a Crowd Controller achieves the respective goals does vary between individuals and companies alike.

All Dominance staff are certified in line with current industry standards to a minimum Certificate II in Security Operations (Guarding and Crowd Control), and are suitably licensed by the Licensing & Regulation Division of Victoria Police which maintains the security industry licensing, permits, registration and regulation as stated in the Private Security Act 2004.

Given the broad and diverse nature of our operations in many cases venue specific training is developed in conjunction with senior guards and managements to focus on dealing with any specific points of interest.

In-house training and development, as well as mentoring schemes allow for sustained improvement of talented and enthusiastic guards. By providing practical know how in leadership and organisation we allow for smoother transitioning between general and supervisor duties.

By investing in our own team members we are able to maintain quality and proficiency whist maintaining a positive attitude and morale. This is in turn directly proportional to customer and client satisfaction whom we are serving or representing respectively.

Whilst physical confrontation and conflict is common within the respective role, at Dominance we believe in the old saying “prevention is better than a cure”. Training our staff to look for and act upon early warning signs of intoxication or any unsociable behaviour allows us to deal with potential issues before they escalate or become uncontrollable. Effective communication and negotiation techniques allow for the discrete management and minimisation of potential risks.  Promoting positive behaviour and attitude as a result ensures a much smoother and happier occasion for both staff and patrons.
